What a score should tell you.

A useful trust signal includes the evidence behind it, its limits, and a next step. It should never disguise uncertainty as certainty.

Can the public tool tell me whether something is fake?

Not conclusively. The public utility performs local inspection, not deepfake, voice-clone, C2PA, or camera-attribution model inference. Guided examples are labeled. Advanced methods require the right service, original files, and reference data.

What does the number in the examples mean?

It is illustrative evidence coverage, not the probability that content is true. It does not rate a person. Real-file inspection does not invent an authenticity score when the necessary analysis is unavailable.
